This is an automatic sorting system for classifying used batteries. This new machine, conceived and designed by the IST team, was created to meet the needs of those who need to separate used batteries by type, such as alkaline, lithium (Li-Ion), nickel-cadmium (Ni-Cd), and nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH).

Database with Artificial Intelligence<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n

The system uses a database consisting of thousands of images of batteries in all their variations: chemical type, brand, color, size, etc. During the sorting process, the system compares the images detected during sorting with those contained in the database and then assigns them to the different categories based on similarity.
\nThe result is a sufficient amount of information to provide the machine with a history capable of recognizing any type of battery. The database is continuously updated and expanded to make the classification process increasingly efficient and effective.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Consumption and productivity<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n

The system can be easily installed in any production environment and requires only compressed air and electricity. It can currently sort 500-800 kg\/h and is designed to operate 24 hours a day, replacing the manual labor of 8-10 people.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
